Q & A Section

Ordering & Design Process

Q: What information do I need to provide for a custom car show board?

A: To create a true masterpiece, we need high-resolution photos of your vehicle (exterior, interior, and engine bay), a list of modifications (engine specs, suspension, paint code), and basic stats like Year, Make, Model, and Submodel. The more details you provide about what makes your ride a "1 of 1," the better we can tell your story.

Q: Can I see a proof of the design before it is printed?

A: Yes. We pride ourselves on customer satisfaction. After our Chief Designer creates your layout using templates like "The Yeti" or "The American," we will send a digital proof for your approval to ensure all stats and spelling are correct before we begin the final production.

Q: Do you offer different design styles?

A: Absolutely. We offer a wide range of "Models" to fit your vehicle's personality. Our popular styles include The Toy (playful and bold), The Predator (aggressive and sleek), and The Classic (vintage and clean). You can view all our design models on our "Our Models" page.

Materials & Durability

Q: Are American Car Show Boards weather-resistant?

A: Yes. We understand that car shows happen outdoors, rain or shine. Our boards are printed on high-quality, weather-resistant materials designed to withstand heat and humidity without warping. We use UV-resistant inks to ensure your car's photos remain vibrant and do not fade after long days in the sun at events.

Q: What sizes are available for the display boards?

A: Our standard and most popular size is designed to offer maximum visibility while fitting easily into your trunk or back seat. Please check our "Order" page for current sizing options (typically 18x24 or 20x30 inches) suitable for standard easels and display stands.

Shipping & Turnaround

Q: How long does it take to get my custom car show board?

A: American Car Show Boards is known for a fast turnaround. Once your design is approved, we prioritize quick printing and shipping from our facility in Martinsburg, West Virginia. Most customers receive their boards in time for their next weekend show.

Q: Do you ship anywhere in the United States?

A: Yes, we are the only 100% car show provider in the US dedicated to this craft, and we ship nationwide. Whether you are heading to a local meet or a national event like Barrett-Jackson or Goodguys, we can get your board to your doorstep.

Pricing & Policies

Q: How much does a custom car show board cost?

A: Our pricing is competitive and transparent. Our models start at $79.00 (e.g., The Toy, The Yeti, The Classic) and range up to $99.00 for "The Complete Custom" package. This includes the custom design work and the physical board.

Q: What if I have a rare or modified car that isn't a standard model?

A: That is our specialty! We work with all makes and models, from classic muscle cars and hot rods to modern supercars and imports. Because every board is custom-made, we can accommodate unique engine swaps, custom paint jobs, and rare history details that standard templates can't handle.

Tips for taking photos of your ride.

Sports Car
Time of day REALLY matters!

When taking photos, the first 2 hours and the last 2 hours of the day can really make a difference due to light direction and intensity.  Car angles and curves can hide shadows and bring them to light as well as cause over exposure that can blur images when taken in full sun.  So best to wait till the afternoon or in overcast conditions.

Car angles bring thing boards to life.

Taking photos at an angle centered on the front center windshield or front tire give the car a 3D appearance when on a 2D flat surface.  (PRO TIP) Once you have centered the your photo turn the front wheel in the opposite direction this really brings things to life!

Surface is the key to success.

Try to avoid grass when possible.  The pigments in the grass even when cut can show up on the wheels and paint causing your 10K paint job to look greener.  Also even blades of grass on the tires can cause blurry image translations even on the best of cameras not to mention it hinders the way we can make the car "float" on the board.
